Remember this Event is hosted on a Private Hive, So all gear you use in the event needs to be looted on the PIPSI.NET Private Hive servers.
PIPSI Subs and Donators priority seats for all pipsi events!
If it wasn't for them we would not be where we are today.
    ● Time
    20th of January 2018     |       7pm AEDT (GMT +11)
    NZ: 9PM NSW/TAS/VIC: 7PM QLD: 6PM NT: 5:30 SA: 6:30PM WA: 4PM
    ● Server
Official PIPSI.NET Private Hive Server 2
(Will be named in the browser to " PIPSI.NET King Of The Hill [EVENT] " on the day of the event)
The server will be locked/renamed on the day for survivors to loot up for the event freely without being killed. Information and rules for this server will be made on an additional post during the week of the event

    ● Mission
At an undisclosed location, a 4 man squad of PIPSI admins are tasked with defending their headquarters. Survivors have traveled from all corners of Chernarus in attempts to eliminate the squad and seize the location. You duty is to eliminate all 4 members of the admins in order for your squad to take over the location. By completing so and holding the location for 10 minutes without contest, you will be crowned the victors of the battle.
    ● Info
► This event will be held in first person only for real tactical immersion. This eliminates 3rd person peaking advantages.
► It is up to you and your team to kill anyone in your path. Your objective is to get to the location, kill whoever is holding the hill and be the ONLY team within it.
► Once the admins have been eliminated, one member of your squad must announce the name of your team to the referee admin at the location.
► The referee admin will be located close by or within the location wearing all RED gear. You are not to kill, injure or impersonate this admin.
► Once the squad is identified and all members of the squad are within the location, the 10 minute timer will start. The squad holding the location must protect it for 10 full minutes.
► To contested the hill another team must enter the location so that there is no longer only one team within it. The timer will then be paused until the combat has a victor. If the team is a new team then their timer will start from the beginning. If the original team remain victorious in their battle then the timer will be resumed from where it left off.
► This may occur multiple of times over the course of the event. Each time there are new owners of the hill or a team has been eliminated, the team holding the hill must announce themselves to the referee admin for the timer to start/continue.
► This continues until one group has successfully held the hill for the entire 10 minutes
► Groups/Individuals are not permitted to re-attempt to take hold of the location after they die, nor continue to play in the server.
► Once killed you must leave the server and put [DEAD] next to your teamspeak name
► Each squad will have their own private channels on teamspeak setup on the day
► This event will be capped at 3 hours, the prizes are time sensitive and will be dependent on the time in which the event is won.
► There will be a briefing on teamspeak at the time of the event start, if you are not in the brief you are not eligible to participate in the event !
Anyone caught attempting to ruin the fun of the event or gain an unfair advantage over others will be dealt with accordingly.
    ● Rules
► General Game and Server Rules apply:
No Hacking / No Cheating / No Exploiting / No Ghosting / No Combat Logging / No Glitching
► Do not injure or kill the Referee Admin that will be all in red
► Do not impersonate the Referee Admin
    ► Do not re-spawn
    ► No flashbangs

    Theme fixes!

    By Dibbles, in News,

We've just updated both skins to the latest versions. Unfortunately in order for us to update the themes, we needed to reset everyone's theme back to Website Default.

You can change your theme at the bottom left of the website (there's a drop down for 'Theme').
Both themes should work 100% with the site now (no more random errors!). If you notice any, post on Discord or PM me directly.

    Discord Server

    By Dibbles, in News,

    Hey everyone,
We have opened up a Discord server for Pipsi.net as a trial period. This server will run in conjunction with TeamSpeak as a interim stage as we review the community needs/wants.
To connect to the Discord server, you can go to http://www.discord.me/pipsi
Please note, this is a 'soft release', with more things coming later.

    Further Website upgrades

    By Dibbles, in News,

We've just made a few further upgrades to the website to line up with further integration we're working on behind the scenes. I've also redone the themes so they should flow nicely with the new site.
Unfortunately I've had to reset everyone's theme setting. You can change your theme at the bottom the website (click theme).
Please note, 'Alt' is no longer under development and will be removed within the coming days (after further upgrades are done). If you are after the Alternate theme, please use 'Alternate - Fluid/Fixed'

Official PIPSI.NET Private Hive #2 First Person    [Server will be renamed on the day to PIPSI.NET Event: Sole Survivor]
Server will be locked prior to the event and wiped, a backup of persistence will occur before hand so rest assure to all those with bases that they will be restored once event it over.
This is a first in best dressed styled event. Subscribers to PIPSI.NET do get priority in the events that we hold. Register below to secure your spot.
    How The Game Works:
The objective for all survivors is to be the last man or woman standing at the end of the 3 zones. With the 3 enclosing zones playing out similarly to a hunger games based arena, all players must fight for their lives and attempt to gear themselves up, while killing as many opponents as possible. There will be admins in the surrounding areas completely in red clothes enforxing the edges of the zone boundaries. Anyone that is found outside of the boundaries will receive both warning shots, ingame message warnings and may be approached by an admin to inform them of their misdirection. If survivors out of the boundary do not comply with the admins directions, they will be shot on site. Do not kill any of the admins dressed in red. Survivors are also not permitted to pick up and wear any red articles of clothing for yourselves, doing this will result in a ban from the current and all future events.
Before the event begins, all players will be made to stand in a circle on the airstrip at Balota. Within this circle, there will be a mountain of loot provided by both the admins and player contributions. The admins will split and divide the loot into various amounts and scatter them within the circle. Once the event begins, survivors can either rush to the middle of the circle to loot as much as they can during the grace period. Survivors too can opt to go loot towns within the boundary or attempt to locate the barrels admins have scattered across the location. These locations will all be marked on the map. There will be a grace period at the start of the event for 2 minutes. This is due to the lag and desync issues that may occur with the vast amount of loot and players concentrated into one area. Anyone that kills or injures another survivor during this grace period will be banned. Make sure to pay attention to ingame messages. Admins will refill the loot in the initial middle circle at various times throughout the event.

    Info/Step By Step:
    ● The server will be locked and renamed the night before the event in order for admins to prepare the location with gear.
    ● The server will be renamed "Operation: Sole Survivor - Event Preparation"
    ● The password may be given out to players on the day of the event in order to run their characters safely to the location
    ● During the server being locked for preparation, no players are to kill or injure eachother
    ● All players in the event are required to make their DayZ name the same as their Teamspeak/Website name
    ● All survivors will be provided with 2 articles of clothing they can wear after being searched by admins
    ● All players in the event must already have their characters up at the Balota Airstrip
    ● The more gear brought to donate to the event by players, the more gear there will be placed in the starting circles and the barrels
    ● All participants in the event must be in the brief room when the brief is delivered otherwise they will not be able to join
    ● All players will be required to drop their gear for the admins to check over when asked
    ● No player is to enter the air control tower or the closest military hangar next to it (there will be tents there to block the entrance
    ● Players will then line up in a circle around the starting pile of gear and wait for the countdown
    ● This is a free for all event, you may not team up with any players. You are not permitted to be in any form of communication with any other players in the event.
    ● Once you die, please make your way to the dead room in the teamspeak and leave the server immediately
    ● Note that the quicker and easier you make it on admins to search you and give you your clothes, the faster the event can start
    TEAMSPEAK IP :    ts.pipsi.net

There will be a briefing on teamspeak at the time of the event start where the password will be given out.
If you are not present during the brief you will not be allowed to participate and a reserve will take their place.
In order to register for this event you must reply with the following:
Location, Barrel location, Zone 1, Zone 2 and Zone 3

    ● No Hacking / Cheating / Exploiting / Glitching / Ghosting / Combat Logging or Disconnecting then reconnecting at a later time
    ● If there is a need to disconnect due to game issues, make an admin aware before doing so. Same goes with if your game crashes
    ● Anyone who leaves the server and does not return in under 2 minutes will be removed from the game
    ● Do not attempt to kill or injure admins / referees wearing all red
    ● Do not enter the Air Control Tower or the closest Military Hangar to it. These are admin only buildings and you will be shot on site upon entering.
    ● You must remain in the boarders of the zones when competing. If you leave the zone you will be warned to move within the zone. Failure to comply will result in shooting on site
    ● Anyone found using external ways to communicate with other players or teaming will be banned permanently
    ● Anyone found attempting to break the rules or ruin the fun will be removed from the event and dealt with accordingly (public spanking)
    ● No grenades, No landmines & No Explosives

    DayZ latency

    By Dibbles, in News,

Lots of people have been letting us know that there has been latency issues/rubber banding across our DayZ servers.
We've lodge a support ticket with Gaming Deluxe in an order to get them to investigate, as the limited tools don't allow us to do a whole lot of investigating on our end.
We will reply when we know what's happening.

As 0.63 is getting into a better shape internally, we thought we could go for a more interactive way of presenting the development progress to you - we're going to organize a live stream! We hope you will join the community on our Bohemia Interactive Twitch channel this Wednesday at 18:00 CET. We expect the stream to run for about 90 minutes, and there will be a VoD available on YouTube in case you can't watch the stream live: https://www.twitch.tv/events/9tLTxdtmRHqU9YhdTmNQdA More information: DayZ.com View the full article

    • Hello players!

We know the last week has been rough. We had problems over the weekend, and our login servers were down today. We’re trying to move faster to solve important problems that negatively impact your experience, but sometimes when you move fast, you break things. This is not an excuse, but rather an attempt to explain why there has been some turbulence over the last week. But we have also seen some great results.

In our recent update, PUBG has added a feature that splits the matching pool based on players' ping and players with similar pings end up playing in the same match instance. The results of this addition were positive. Some servers saw more than 30% decrease in network problems, as compared to the pre-update figures, allowing for a more stable and enjoyable network environment. However, this doesn't mean that our work is done. Our team is continuing their efforts to implement further improvements.

Despite the ping-based matchmaking, we have seen that some regions are still experiencing a gameplay environment that isn't as enjoyable as it could be. We are looking into various measures that we could use to alleviate the issues players are experiencing in these regions. We’ll let you know when we have more results to share.

Please know that when we break things, it’s not because we don’t care. It’s because we care enough to move fast, and take risks that are intended to improve your experience. Thank you so much for the patience and understanding that you give us, especially when we break things.

      Thank you.

    • Yea you guys need more recognition

    • Players,

With this patch, we are bringing various optimizations to our server and client. We have mitigated lag and stutter instances and alleviated frame drop and lag occurrences happening when players are pushed together, starting from the second half of a match, or in dynamic situations, like intense firefights. This has allowed for a smoother environment to play in, than before.

As you are all aware, we were also going to introduce and test our new limb penetration system this month. Unfortunately, there’s been an alteration in our plans, but we will be sure to give an update on this at a later time.

In regards to today’s test server patch, you can read the patch notes below for further details. Please leave any relevant feedback in our Test Server feedback section on our forum.[forums.playbattlegrounds.com]

Once we see that the current test build is in a stable state, we plan to move it to the live server later next week. We will inform you on the live server update schedule later on.
